1. About Augussto

Augussto is a premium eyewear brand offering optical-grade prescription lenses paired with luxury-grade frames. Our composite offering — lens and frame together — is designed to eliminate the compromise most consumers face in the eyewear market. Every pair is crafted to precise optical standards, ensuring you never have to choose between clarity and style.

 

2. Eligibility & Account

•       You must be 18 years or older to place an order.

•       You are responsible for providing accurate personal and prescription information at the time of purchase.

•       Augussto is not liable for incorrect prescriptions submitted by the customer.

•       Account credentials are your responsibility. Do not share login information with others.

 

3. Product & Prescription Accuracy

All prescription eyewear is custom-manufactured to your specific optical requirements. Due to the personalised nature of prescription lenses, we strongly recommend double-checking your prescription details — including sphere, cylinder, axis, addition power (for progressive lenses), and pupillary distance (PD) — before confirming your order.

•       Augussto uses optical-grade lens blanks and precision surfacing/CNC technology.

•       Progressive and bifocal lenses require an additional fitting period; this is normal and not a defect.

•       Minor variations within accepted industry tolerances (as per BIS/ISO standards for ophthalmic lenses) are not considered defects.

•       Augussto is not a substitute for a professional eye examination. Please consult a licensed optometrist for your prescription.

•       For high prescriptions (sphere above ±6.00D or cylinder above ±3.00D), we recommend contacting us before ordering to confirm lens availability and index suitability.

 

4. Pricing & Payment

•       All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes (GST) unless stated otherwise.

•       Prices are subject to change without prior notice. Orders confirmed at a given price will not be affected by subsequent price revisions.

•       We accept payment via major credit/debit cards, UPI, net banking, and other methods available at checkout.

•       Orders are confirmed only upon successful payment. An order confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address.

•       In the event of a payment failure or technical error resulting in a double charge, please contact us immediately at support@augussto.com for resolution.

 

5. Lens & Coating Standards

Every single vision prescription lens from Augussto ships with our Screen Shield coating as the default standard — including blue light filtration and anti-reflective treatment — at no additional charge. This is part of our core composite offering and reflects the Augussto standard for all prescription eyewear.

•       Available lens indices: 1.50, 1.56, 1.61, 1.67 (subject to prescription range).

•       Additional lenses/ Coating  are available as upgrades and may alter delivery timelines.

•       All optical lenses are manufactured in ISO-certified facilities.

 

6. Order Cancellations & Modifications

Given the bespoke nature of prescription eyewear, cancellation windows are limited once manufacturing begins.

•       Orders may be cancelled or modified within 24 hours of placement, provided manufacturing has not commenced.

•       Once a prescription lens enters the surfacing or coating process, cancellation is no longer possible.

•       Non-prescription sunglasses may be cancelled any time before shipment.

•       To request a cancellation, contact us immediately at support@augussto.com with your order number. You may also cancel via the My Account → Orders section on Augussto.com.

•       Once an order has been shipped, cancellations cannot be processed.

•       Approved cancellation refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.

 

7. Returns & Replacements

7.1 Prescription Eyewear

Given the custom nature of prescription eyewear, returns will be accepted within 30 days of delivery, provided the product is in its original packaging and accompanied by the invoice. Upon successful completion of the return quality check, we will offer a full remake or replacement at no additional cost, including shipping charges.

7.2 Non-Prescription Sunglasses

•       Non-prescription sunglasses may be returned within 30 days of delivery in their original packaging, and accompanied by the invoice and subject to Quality check.

•       To raise a return or exchange request, please submit it via: augussto.com/apps/return_prime/

•       Approved returns will be refunded to the original payment method within 7–10 business days after the returned item is received and verified.

•       Store credit is also available as an alternative to a cash refund.

 

8. Warranty

8.1 Frame Warranty — Lifetime

Augussto stands behind the craftsmanship and quality of every frame. Our Lifetime Warranty covers manufacturing defects related to frames, hinges, and structural faults under normal use.

8.2 Lens Warranty — 12 Months

All Augussto prescription lenses carry a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects, including delamination of coatings and optical distortion not within acceptable tolerances.

8.3 The Warranty Does Not Cover

•       Scratches on lenses from normal use or mishandling.

•       Accidental damage, breakage, misuse, or neglect.

•       Damage resulting from improper cleaning (e.g., dry wiping, use of harsh chemicals).

•       Normal wear and tear over time.

•       Prescription lens issues arising from an incorrect prescription submitted by the customer.

•       Unauthorized repairs or third-party modifications — these will void the warranty entirely.

8.4 Service Support

In the rare event of a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace the product at no cost. For damages outside warranty scope, we offer repairs or replacements at nominal charges, subject to parts availability.

 

9. Privacy Policy

Augussto is committed to protecting your personal information. The following outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard the information you share with us.

9.1 Information We Collect

•       Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, billing/shipping address, payment details, and prescription data provided during transactions.

•       Non-Personal Information: IP address, browser type, device information, and website usage data.

•       Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance user experience and analyse site traffic.

9.2 How We Use Your Information

•       To process transactions, manufacture prescription lenses, and fulfil orders.

•       To communicate with you regarding your account, purchases, or enquiries.

•       To improve our website, services, and customer experience.

•       To detect and prevent fraud or security threats.

•       To comply with legal and regulatory requirements under Indian law.

9.3 Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information with:

Augussto's liability in any circumstance is limited to the value of the order placed. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or services. This includes, but is not limited to, visual discomfort arising from a progressive lens adaptation period or changes in a customer's prescription after purchase.

 

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Gurugram, Haryana.
